The LH staccato crotchets give the walking feel, while the singing RH quavers represent the ever changing scenery. The pause at bar 12 is where we catch our breath for a moment before walking home. Notice the changing fingering on the consecutive repeated notes (eg bars 3, 4, 7, 8, 12 & 16) – master this fingering technique as it is crucial in more advanced playing. Follow the dynamics carefully from bars 9-12.
