Description
‘My Gift To You’ is a love song that also has a lyric (that score will be posted in the Vocal solos with piano accompaniment section). Its simple but appealing melody offers plenty of scope as an instrumental piano solo, with various technical challenges around RH/LH balance, some expressive rubato in the romantic tradition, and strong RH octaves with a jumping LH in the middle section (an instrumental instrumental so to speak). I wrote this piece for Jane, my beloved partner for 35 years – I will always miss her loving presence in my life.
